How to Play Plant vs Zombies

Plant vs Zombies (PvZ) is a tower defense game where your lawn is the battlefield. Zombies advance from the right side and your plants, placed in a grid, must stop them before they reach your house.

Basic Gameplay

  1. Collect sun - tap sun drops from the sky or from sunflowers to earn currency.
  2. Choose a plant - select from the seed packet at the top of the screen.
  3. Plant on the lawn - click a grid square to place. Each plant costs sun.
  4. Defend - peashooters attack, sunflowers generate sun, wall-nuts block, cherry bombs explode.
  5. Survive waves - zombies come in increasing numbers. Manage your lawn wisely.

Peashooter

Cheap ranged attacker. Cost: 100 sun. Fires single peas at zombies in its row.

Sunflower

Generates sun every ~24s. Essential for economy. Cost: 50 sun.

Wall-nut

High-HP blocker. Buys time for damage dealers. Cost: 50 sun.

Cherry Bomb

Instant area damage. One-shot kills most zombies. Cost: 150 sun, single use.

Snow Pea

Slows enemies plus damage. Excellent crowd control. Cost: 175 sun.

Repeater

Double peashooter - twice the firepower. Cost: 200 sun.
